I have experienced and agree with everything you've written in your post, especially with this comment about the "cuteness" of stuttering women. I hate it, it annoys me so much even though they don't often mean anything by it as you said. The "awww you're adorable" makes me roll my eyes. I've even gotten the "it's so sexy and innocent at the same time" and I don't even know what to comment on that.. it makes me feel objectified. Edit: oh and also, I've gotten a comment from a college professor during an oral exam: "don't worry and don't be nervous, it's cute, I bet people don't even listen to you when you speak, they just look at you" It shattered me at the time.
