My manager can’t seem to help mirroring my stutter

My manager can’t seem to help mirroring my stutter He’s nice and I genuinely like him. The first few times it happened, I very clearly stated it was something I couldn’t control and he apologized immediately. The most recent time, I took him aside as he was apologizing and asked him to maybe read an article, do some research, try to empathize and understand why it’s SO much worse for him to mirror it back than to simply ignore it. My stutter is irregular and erratic. It shows up or doesn’t, some days it’s around certain words, or even some situations. Now, I can tell it’s getting worse around him, because I’m worried he’s going to repeat it back, and I end up getting blocked in my effort to avoid that embarrassment. Is there work I can do? Material he might find helpful? Have any of you dealt with this type of situation? I feel like I’m going to blow up at him next time, I feel like he should have gotten it by now.
