It really depends on the environment. My opinion of school really soured partially due to my stuttering. Talking with family and everything is difficult as well. I don't have irl friends and that's one of the factors as to why. Stuttering also probably shaped my hobbies somewhat. I began stuttering when I was 10, but even before that I loved gaming. Single player gaming only. Stuttering made me embrace that hobby more as well as reading, writing, etc. Hobbies where speech is not required at all.
