Starting Nursing school with stuttering Hi everyone, I'm currently about to start my upper division nursing school and I have a stutter. I'm curious if there are others here who also stutter and how you manage it, especially in such a demanding environment. Do you know anyone in your nursing program who stutters? How did they handle both the stuttering and any hostility they might have faced? My stutter is minimal, but there are certain words that can trigger it. Should I let my clinical instructor know about my stutter to make things easier and avoid any harsh reactions? I cannot afford speech therapy due to the high cost, and I've tried using my insurance, but none of the speech therapists around me accept it. I've been working at Walgreens as a cashier for two years, and my stutter has rarely affected my interactions with customers. Are there any stuttering techniques or anti-anxiety medications that have helped you reduce stuttering? Any advice or tips on managing stuttering in nursing school would be greatly appreciated!
