I'm literally in the same boat as you. Lifelong stutter but it was never really too bad until the first year of medical school this year. Seems like every day I have to do some sort of speaking whether it be a graded standardized patient, group learning, presentation, etc. Definately wasnt expecting it, but here we are. I too sometimes wish I just did programming or something haha. Good for you wanting to do peds or psych, though. I was thinking about rads or anesthesia lol.
