For me I can see it being true. Luckily I have two incomes, one from a hobby that I can do all from my office and not need to speak to anybody, but in my day job I have no desire to move up the corporate ladder because it would definitely require me to interact with more people. Maybe I could get another job, but id rather have less money than go through another job interview.
