No, I'm not nervous and speaking slowly doesn't necessarily help! Hi fellow pws, I have been reading a few of the comments and I find it odd that people have been playing stuttering off as a nervous reaction or as if speaking slowly suddenly fixes everything. There have been numerous occasions where I have been told to talk slowly, breathe, and so on. Honestly, if I always spoke slowly and never stuttered. I would do it all the time. I still stutter when I am comfortable, uncomfortable, anxious, under pressure, and so on. It is a phenomenon I still don't fully grasp, but at the end of the day I will probably stutter regardless of the situation. And I am learning to accept that.
