My stutter is mild to moderate. I’ve had it since I was a kid. I also went to speech therapy. One of techniques I remember them telling me to use was to say the word I was stuck on as I exhaled. It gets bad when I’m stressed or anxious and really bad when I’m close to my period (I will actually reschedule calls to avoid having to do a lot of presenting or call facilitation the week before my cycle). Unfortunately (or fortunately?) my job requires A LOT of speaking. I’ve told most of my colleagues that I stutter so when I have blocks, I usually pause and take a deep breath and continue on or I switch to a different word. They’re used to it and roll with it.
