I’m a stutterer, female. You sound like a very caring and sensitive person. My advice, just love and show her acceptance. I’ve stuttered since early childhood. My parents withdrew their love when I became imperfect. The impression I was given was that I was unworthy of love and would never have a loving relationship. Well, that’s not true. I was courted and married by a very wonderful man who always proudly presented me socially. He first presented me to his military officer group. Then later to his peers in municipal finance. My advice to you is to provide her with love, acceptance and demonstrate your pride in her. This condition can be soul-sapping. Having the love of someone who proudly presents you is the best way to demonstrate your love. My husband of 54 years never discussed my disfluency. His acceptance, pride in me showed his love. No discussion needed. That’s how you could handle your situation, with total love and acceptance and pride in her.
