I know what you mean, it can frustrating to see all these “famous sutterers” who are extremely fluent and literally talk for a living. I think for the most part they stuttered when they were kids or much younger. I can still see Biden word switching and blocking occasionally but he obviously speaks publicly literally every day. I agree it can be harmful because it kind of tells us that stuttering is inherently bad and something to overcome. I view mine as just how I speak and it’s given me a lot more peace than when I was younger and extremely anxious.
