YES. I had someone say this to me. I replied, "No, I have a stutter." I typically don't respond with something like that but through therapy I've been able to work on being more up front about my stutter in situations like these. I was feeling ballsy that day. The person says after, "Oh...I have a stutter too. I should be more sensitive to that." He went on to tell me how he always has a hard time on the phone with his own name. I was baffled, but hope the interaction brought him some sort of new awareness.
