Having children with just the potential of them stuttering is disgusting. This is the main reason why I'm not having kids and am avoiding intercourse until I get a vasectomy. Because stuttering isn't just some symptom stuttering is a disability that changes your life Completely. We are not normal and we will NEVER be normal until a cure is found. If your child is born their is a extremely high chance that they have a stutter and if you have more than one your just increasing the chances of you passing the stuttering gene on. Also for everyone saying "well I had kids and none of them stutters" 😂your just the exception and the exception proves the rule. But I would like to point out a few things that seems to go over y'all's head. 1. Stuttering closes off career opportunities depending on the severity of their stuttering. And the economy is only getting worse so their prone to struggle if they can't get a job. Their happiness is also affected if they can't get the job that they want. What if your kid wants to be a salesperson? Tough luck huh? 2. Their confidence is most likely to drop once they discover that they are different from everyone else leading to a cycle of unhealthy coping mechanisms. which can be life threatening in and of it's self. 3. Every single last fucking human interaction will be plagued by fear and anxiety making them Struggle with relationships in general, and this is only worsened depending on the severity of the stutter. Imagine opening your mouth knowing full goddam well that your about to be embarrassed and anxiety induced because your brain already tells you that your about to stutter. ( OH FUCKING WAIT, YOU CAN BECAUSE YOU LITERALLY EXPERIENCE THESE THINGS YOURSELVES) And this is only THE VERY FUCKING TIP OF THE ICEBERG. I can write for hours about this very topic. I really don't understand how y'all can consciously and knowingly reproduce when you know that your child can potentially become a lifelong stutter.
