My AF recruiter tried to discourage me from proceeding with the enlistment process by telling me another stutterur didn't get passed MEPS. I gave up. I guess I didn't want it bad enough, because a few years later I've heard countless stories of people with as bad if not worse of a stutter as mine, in the military.
