When I was a teen I used to be really bothered by it. I was going through a hard time and I thought that when people say it‘s „cute“ they weren‘t recognizing how hard it is to have a stutter. Now I just say „thanks“ or laugh when people say that. Most of the time they don‘t mean it in a bad way. Most of the time they just wanna help you feel good or something. So I don‘t take it that seriously anymore. If they‘re really close to me, they‘ll know how I truly feel about having a stutter and how it impacts my life.
