Hey brother, I'm 34 and I've stuttered my whole life. It's not severe, but it's enough to make socializing pretty stressful. I was really embarrassed of it when I was young. Now that I'm "older", whenever I meet people, I just tell them that I have a stutter (as I studder through that sentence). What I noticed is that they don't care, most people just say "oh that's fine, you're good". And weirdly enough, after sharing that, I stutter less because I don't feel the stress and anxiety behind trying to hide my stutter. I've literally had women say they find my stutter "cute". I know it's hard to acknowledge our stutter when we're young, but as we get older, actual adults seem to care less. Just keep that in mind as you hit your 20s. I spent most of my 20s isolated and alone. I have a close group of friends who all know I stutter, but everyone I've met lately just simply doesn't care about my stutter.
