What we have, what we consume, what we engage in, how well we communicate, how much money we have becomes a yardstick in which we measure and compare ourselves against others. I’m almost convinced that everyone is told that we are never enough. All individuals. And I think it’s so far from the truth. We are told that we must progress. But there’s no measure of success that we set than that that we set for ourselves. Success is how we as individuals define it. Success may be having a roof over your head. Or food in your stomach. Or facing the world with a stutter everyday. I made my measure of success to live. As at one point, I didn’t want to due to my stutter. Take it easy on yourself. You have a stutter. So do I. Don’t let the world and how you think others perceive you or how you often perceive yourself based off your interactions define you. You’re more than your stutter. Much more. Both you and I know we are more than our stutter. If working in that environment is causing you too much stress. Or communicating to that extent leads to that much stress then maybe you are destined to walk a different path. Having a stutter is a very very complex thing. Well beyond the surface of what others can consider. You may need to accept that others will not understand you. And that that is okay.
