How is it an "inherently flawed concept"? Because of a hunch? There is evidence showing that it does work and that it is efficacious, just because an RCT has not been conducted does not mean that you can automatically disqualify and and all research surrounding the matter. There are a myriad of reasons why it hasn't been marketed as such - namely because there has not been enough funding to push a medication through for FDA approval for a given indication. Your line of thinking is completely wrong.
