You could probably look it up in your court records, it depends on your jurisdiction. My jurisdiction has an online database that includes basic information like the case number, date, and judges name. My jurisdiction also has a list of active judicial officers. If you did find their name you could also write them a personal letter. I would imagine it would be pretty moving to get a letter two years later detailing how their actions impacted someone. The court staff can be very helpful too. They should be able to point you in the right direction. Judges often have to deal with a lot of shit, but that is no excuse. For what it is worth the judges I have worked with usually exhibit a surprising level of empathy and compassion. I saw a defendant break down crying because of how understanding a judge was.
