Thank you for your opinion. The reason I asked this question was not because I don't want to see what it's like to be in your shoes. I watched several videos and interviews of people who stutter and they make me feel more sympathetic than when I did the voluntary stuttering over the phone. When I pretended to stutter I was nervous and more worried about not sounding convincing. Even if I was, would 4 minutes be enough to truly say that I experienced what you experience every day? Also, as someone who can opt-out from stuttering whenever I want would my experience even be close to a true experience? SLPs have a lot more to offer than the fact that they did this assignment, we will spend an entire semester learning strategies for fluency. I care about being an effective SLP and want to learn as much as possible to do so but I think that this assignment prompted more nerves than learning what a person with stuttering experiences.
