There is nothing creepy in normal human interaction like talking, if you will be respecting boundaries. Like for example you finally got power to talk and say nice words to a person, you would like to ask for a coffe, but she says she have a boyfriend(she may have it or its just safe polite answear) then you says "oh okay, have a nice day then" and that's it, it would be creepy if you would follow her, dont listen to that "im taken" answear and pushing again. Like reverse side and think if you would feel okay. Sure its just minimal small talk, I mean you can expand it to have little more talk and higher chance for friendship, it can be her style, logo on clothes, hat.
