I recorded a video of me making a phone call (you should too) and it helps a lot with my stutter! Hi Fellow Stutterers, My name is Leo and i've been stuttering since as long as I can remember (20+ years). I've tried and still do try various techniques, skills etc to help me accept and overall reduce my stuttering. While some clearly didn't work, some worked for a little while. I've recently been trying to really focus on my speech, almost studying myself from a third person perspective to help understand my stutter more and effectively help reduce it. So I began recording my phonecalls/video calls, like with most stutterers they are quite challenging for me. I've noticed recording a video helps me assess my speech more, find where I stutter the most (at the beginning which indicates an increase in my stutter due to the anxiety/fear of the call) and on which words I struggle with the most. This then allows me to get a better idea on what I need to focus on, e.g in my example, as my fear of what the other person might think of my speech I focus on acceptance and generally trying to care less about other people's opinions etc. It's really been helpful for me and i highly suggest you try it here and there so you can better understand your stutter/self. If anyone is interested, here is the video (checked with mod) [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lTBYzBo7UW4](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lTBYzBo7UW4) Let me know your thoughts!
