I have catamenial epilepsy. Never noticed if it effects my fluency. 24-72 hrs before period I get weird, the min I get period it's like magic I feel the brain fog dissipate. I'm not a Dr and am in no way suggesting this is what anyone else has, but epilepsy is something I never expected would be difficult to get a clear diagnosis about and I never thought it would be tied in with my period. I had phenomenon since childhood that should have clued my Drs in but all of it was ignored. With the stutter I really was treated as "just a really weird girl" and suspect the stutter is why no one told me to get my head examined. Like the stutter explained everything? It does not lol Bonus: because it took so long to get diagnosed and the things I have experienced I have deep skepticism in any and all religion. I would get intense spiritual feelings and it wouldn't matter if I was in nature or in the local grocery store. It's a good thing I didn't make a sincere religious connection. In previous history being a female that sees dreams while awake and has *fits* around a certain time of the moon I guess I could have gotten even weirder diagnosis. Mainly "She's a witch!"-itis. I would deeply space out and feel intense religious feelings ( I am not religious), also deja vu so intense I felt like I was dreaming over waking life. So if it makes my stutter worse honestly I never noticed. Multiple Drs told me I just had PMS. Two well meaning but ignorant Drs told me maybe I'm just a free spirit who " sees the world differently" LOL I'll say. Women's medicine needs some work!
