Great advice, thanks. Definitely do think the elongating thing helps for me. It does sound natural if done in the right way and not quite like Dory haha I think that having stuttered for so long, I've almost mastered substitutions so much that it comes naturally. In something like a speech, it was fine as no one knows what I was supposed to say. I think I struggle the most when someone asks me to read something out and they have it front of them as well - kinda like going round the room in class and reading from a book. Lot more pressure there.
