I don't much care anymore what people think.. I announce I have a speech impediment if it's someone new and I'm having a bad day.. they can choose to not conversate with me and that's fine. But.. that being said.. for people to assume that it's an intelligence issue is annoying. Just like the people that ask "did you forget your name?" That their brain goes to something so silly rather than the obvious speech issue just blows my mind sometimes.
