Dopamine actually does a lot more than what most people think. Yes depression is tied to dopamine but there is a variety of other things as well. It depends really on what receptors are lacking said dopamine. I may be wrong but I believe there are 5 different dopamine receptors in the brain I can’t say which one does what though.
