Demosthenes is amazing. Stuttering is a neurological problem where the brain disengages when it hears OUR OWN voice. That is why we are much more fluent when we disguise our voice or sing or whisper or speak in unison. This is why the Edinburgh Masker and the Delayed Auditory Feedback (DAF) stuttering prosthetics are so successful. Demosthenes spoke over loud waves and consequently did not hear his OWN voice and hence was fluent. This has been known for ages yet speech therapists do not seem to realize how this could improve our fluency, If you want to be fluent rely on Demosthenes and not a speech therapist
