>*"How to get rid of a* ***stuttering mindset*** *and speak like a* ***normal*** *person?"* Unfortunately, I believe that most people in this subreddit don't discuss subconscious fluency. I don't think it's fair to use the experience of people who stutter in here as a representation of getting rid of a stuttering mindset or speaking like a non-stutterer. I suspect most people who achieved subconscious fluency aren't frequenting these stutter support groups. We're likely running up against a type of survivorship bias when we examine the experiences of the people here. Literature that discusses switching between the stutter state (or stutter mindset, as you pointed out), and fluency state, I would recommend reading [dr. Bob Bodenhamer](https://dokumen.tips/documents/mastering-blocking-and-2011-01-10-mastering-blocking-and-stuttering-a-handbook.html?page=1), and watching Least-Pin-7489's YT videos ([1](https://www.reddit.com/r/Stutter/comments/13irawz/what_happened_to_my_stuttering_videos_and_a/), [2](https://www.reddit.com/r/Stutter/comments/19cn97h/minecraft_hardcore_and_my_stuttering_journey_part/), [3](https://www.reddit.com/r/Stutter/comments/10h1hut/deleted_by_user/)).
