I don’t know, it feels bad but I think if the girls understood what had happened, they wouldn’t be so insensitive. I have been in this exact scenario (cute girls laugh in my face), and I feel horrible, and it gives me nightmares years later. I don’t hold it against them though, I never disclosed to them that I stutter, so they have no reason to understand, or hold back their natural reaction when I’m making a ridiculous face, or shaking, or twitching, or making strange noises. I can’t say how I would react in their shoes. I would only hold it against someone if they knew my situation, and they still chose to be insensitive. Just writing about this makes my stomach hurt.
