Hello. I read this and my heart feels for you and I see myself. While I still struggle with confidence, I want to say that most people I know who stutter do accept and gain confidence over their stutter. Please do not give up b/c I found college to be less frightening than high school. I was so scared and imagined so many worst case scenarios, actually it was the easiest time for me in regards to my speech. You have more control and choices of what classes to take, I was required to speak on demand much less in college. The class we had presentations, I emailed professor about my stutter and I was able to give mine in his office. Now I know that most adults who stutter and SLPs would recommend accepting and not caring if you stutter, but for someone like me that hasnt been easy despite my efforts. So if you can then yes accept and focus on living not stuttering but if you cannot know it is not as bad as you imagine and can actually be great. You can message me if you like. While Im a 41 year old women now I have shared in your feelings.
