I don’t stutter that bad anymore but when people laughed at me I’d just say I have a speech impediment (ironically I stutter saying “I stutter”but not that lol 🤷🏻‍♂️) anyway saying that always made them feel bad instantly or made the whole situation awkward. They often apologized afterwards. It always made me kind of happy.
