I have confidence in op & wish him success, but the problem in doing what you said in my experience was getting publicly humiliated and abused by all my peers. I was in school 20+ years ago & I still have a phobia about public speaking..but I hope people are more understanding about handicaps... But like you said he needs to Own it & not care about embarrassment. If he truely has confidence about it won't matter if he stutters or not.
