I respectfully disagree. We all have our own specific journeys with our stutter. While I support everyone's own personal view in this forum, this is my point of view. After 20 years of speech therapy, I have the tools and techniques I need to help with blocks. However, I have turned OFF the switch where I do not care if I stutter anymore. I am focusing on life's moments and not dwelling on the block I had at Starbucks. This has increased my self-confidence and self-esteem. As I read these posts in this forum stating the pain, anxiety, anger, frustration, agitation, etc...., I completely empathize because I experienced those as well. My switch for giving a 💩 is off. Maybe you are not there yet with your stutter and that's your specific journey which I respect but telling me that I don't have the capacity to TURN it off is not your place to dictate.
