Definitely do! Happy to help if I can. It's totally up to you about the MRI -- and you don't even have to decide today whether or not you want to do it. I'd just weigh the pros and cons, like: Pros: \- get peace of mind after the neurologist/radiologist can look at your images and confirm you have a beautiful normal brain :) Cons: \- cost (depending on where you're located, your insurance, and time spent on the appointment) \- your concerns about IV contrast/how you'll tolerate the test \- unless something is wildly abnormal (seems unlikely since you said you haven't noticed any neurologic changes) it sounds like the MRI probably won't change your doctor's recommendations For what it's worth -- I've had 2 or 3 MRIs in the past because I get chronic migraines. I'm not claustrophobic. I really didn't think the MRI was a big deal. My biggest drawback was the cost. I've never had an issue with IV contrast or met someone who has (although there is a small risk for allergies). The MRI itself lasted \~30 minutes. You lay in a big plastic tube while there are some banging noises. At my hospital, they give you headphones and a heated blanket which was kind of cozy! Haha. I closed my eyes throughout the scan and tried to nap.
