My mentor Chase is doing an intensive program where he makes you do all kinds of challenges that is designed to change your relationship with your stutter/blocks. The voluntary stutter worked for me, but in hindsight it worked for me because I did it in conjunction with many other strategies that he asked us to follow. Among other things, he works on reducing the fear of judgement, stuttering/blocking easier by slowing yourself down to your own comfortable pace (and not trying to copy the energy/pace of your audience), rejection challenge, daily meditation & journaling, dopamine detox, etc. etc. It is very difficult to talk about and really 'understand' these things theoretically. So , he comes up with weekly challenges that is meant to address all these issues. He holds you accountable, and there is a group of fellow stutterers that will support you. It is worth checking with him. It was the best decision that I made, and I feel like I wasted so much of my life before taking his course.
