Has casual ableism around stuttering gotten more prevalent recently?

Has casual ableism around stuttering gotten more prevalent recently? As the title says, I'm fairly certain I get more nonsense surrounding my stutter than I did a few years ago, but I'm curious if this is happening to other folks as well - I did move cities a couple years ago, so this may just be regional.
