Yup, exposure therapy is so helpful. But the key is to proactively put yourself in stressful speaking situations. If you have the mindset of dreading them, you will feel like a victim when you find yourself in them. And your mind will disassociate from the situation, leading to more stored trauma. But if you pursue them intentionally, then YOU are attacking the stressful speaking situation and it is the victim. And stored trauma will leave you rather than accumulate.
