I grew up with a moderate stutter and now have a mild stutter. I have a 4yo son who has started to stutter more. I’m working with him on it. I thought about your arguments but in the end decided that I have the resources to make their life okay either way. This is just another challenge we’ll deal with, like a kid who has trouble reading or something. Lots of people can pass down genes that lead to undesirable behaviors (addiction, depression, etc). I guess you have to ask yourself if the answer to these problems are either 1. Avoiding life so that you don’t have to deal with these problems or 2. living life and trying your best to figure it out. I don’t mean to diminish your struggle and I can empathize with it because I went through it too. But honestly that’s the dilemma we are left with. I’m not going to tell you what’s the right choice because it’s personal. Just know that some people choose to go on with living life after facing that dilemma
