I have the same feelings about my stutter as you have about your partner's stutter. It's what society taught us, right? Most people aren't much in contact with people with a speech impediment or disability. It's normal. I think it makes sense to reflect on what's behind that, why compassion is harder to feel than impatience. But I wouldn't worry so much about it 🙃
