This is just an opinion based on my experience. More girls than boys grow up with ideas of perfection and social acceptance. I don’t know why that is but that’s what I felt. So anything out of the “normal” is harder for them to accept specially as a group. Also while boys generally are more loud while making fun or bullying a stutterer, they will rarely outright outcast you from the collective.
