This is a tough one and opinions differ, so this is my personal view. I won't say I embrace it or even prefer to speak with a stutter. For a long time I saw it as an alien element and wanted to wash it off at any cost. Today, I am rather trying to become indifferent to it and not beat myself up when I go through rough days. Interestingly, this helped me to adopt a relaxed attitude to my speech which in turn reduced my fear of speaking situations. Yes, I see it as part of my personality but would trade it with fluency any day.
