Need advice. Background: Last night, I went to my school's prom. As you can imagine, lots of socialising, loud music etc. The need to project my voice and speak up over the music made me very scared because my stammer would have been quite noticeable. The 'perfect storm' of having a stammer plus social anxiety made me feel extremely uneasy, to a point where I was feeling physically sick. In the end, I just decided to sit on a bench outside and go on my phone and wait until I decided I had enough. How can I approach similar situations to this? Especially when I need to make new friends as I move onto the next stage of my education to add to my miserly total of 2, 1 of which is not going to the same place I'm going to. Sorry if this post has been grammatically wrong and very confusing to follow, but my head is one giant mess at the moment. Any advice about any social situations will help. Thanks
