In that case, theoretically you should be good if you can gain better control over your stutter. It's curious that it happens outside of stuttering situations though (even if very rarely). Have you considered you might have Tourette's syndrome? Just something to think about, even if unlikely. Apparently it's not unusual for Tourette's to develop in older kids/young teens, and there seems to be [some kind of link between it and stuttering](http://www.stutteringhelp.org/stuttering-and-tourettes-syndrome).
