Speech therapist here. It’s also a self fulfilling prophecy once you are able to naturally stop worrying about your stutter. Obviously it’s easier said than done, but once you start living freely you stop “priming” the stuttering part of your brain. Being worried about stuttering makes you stutter more, so does anxiety but that is a separate relationship.
