Your delusions of grandeur are astounding. You are a layman pontificating about something you admit science doesn't know a whole lot about yet here you are staking claim to being some kind of authority on the subject. You aren't a speech therapist just some guy with an over active ego, get over yourself. I don't need science to understand that difficult experiences I had as a kid are a large driving force behind what triggers my stuttering. Trauma and neglect may not cause stuttering in all people but it certainly can be a significant factor for some. Speech therapists can surely help but as with many fields they often tend to have a very narrow focus which in my experience doesn't work well. Granted results may vary, I'm not discounting them completely but neither do I ascribe much faith in them. The guys that take a holistic approach seem to work best but they are few and far in between and in countries without free healthcare speech therapists are very expensive, after being burnt a few times it's only natural to get jaded. You are free to voice your opinions as I am, that's what Reddit is about, chin up it's not so hard.
