What’s going on with my speech when I smoke weed or drink alcohol?

What’s going on with my speech when I smoke weed or drink alcohol? My stutter is mild today, back in the day it was horrible, with a lot of work I can do everything basically without stuttering, I used to look forward to going out on the weekend cause knew could have few drinks and my speech would be perfect, was like a sense of freedom from it, fast forward to this day when I drink once a week/month per sayor smoke weed. It brings on my stutter, anyone like this or have any knowledge behind it ? Ty
