Why not try it out? Mention it to a few people, see how it feels, see how they response, etc Personally, I don't disclose my stutter. I tried it out a few times but I found three things; Firstly, by making my stutter almost the first thing I mentioned about myself, it felt like I was defining my stutter, like it was the most important thing about me, whereas it should be an almost irrelevant detail Secondly, it just felt really forced and unnatural in a conversation And thirdly, it was just redundant. My stutter is pretty severe, by the time I had managed to get out "oh just fyi I have a stutter", it would already be painfully apparant to whoever I was talking to that I had a stutter. So why even waste the time saying it? But that's just me - everyone's situation is unique and the only way to know is to give it a go
