You can try it for a week or more just to test in a long term how it will affect you. Some other things you can try is : Don't fight the stuttering, just relax. The fight, the resistence themselves create the stuttering. Start focusing more on the things you like and do only the things you like, I believe that way the stress will be reduced. The best way to combat any fear is by exposing yourself on it as much as you can. Try to reduce the judgemental part of yourself, go out and speak. And you won't have to care what others thing about it - you will never know (if they don't tell you) Stuttering is just a habbit, if you want to develop new habbits, you have to be another person, percieve the stuttering from another prespective. Act as someone who doesn't even expect to stutter and if for some reason you do ( accept it as something not that important and go on with the flow of the conversations) All of this need brevity and dedication, but do it hiwever you feel it.
