I used to be the quiet person, too. I'm 41 now and it is hard to get me to shut up - also more fluent. I went though all these same professional situations and would dread public speaking for days prior. Keep a positive mindset. It stinks being in the spotlight for our speech impediment but you'll learn it doesn't define you. My life @ 41 would be very different if I let my speech limit me. I easily could have, but didn't, and life has been great.
