The first step for me was meeting other people who stutter and building more normalcy in my challenges. I just launched the first Slack-based stuttering community for professionals who stutter two months ago which already has 140+ members and the best part is, it's totally free - [www.stutterfreely.com](https://www.stutterfreely.com). The idea is, once you meet more people who stutter, you start to accept it more. People who stutter only represent 1% of the population, so we need these communities to foster that acceptance in our brains since we're constantly surrounded by people who talk way differently than us. Once you build that acceptance, you can start telling others outside of the stuttering community about your stutter. You'll notice it's just 1 of 1,000,000,000,000... vulnerabilities that someone could have and talking about your stutter actually builds much more intimate relationships than you'd imagine :) Cheers to personal growth and feel free to join the community if you're interested! :)
