Congrats on getting started with therapy! I found the initial session was the worst for me, and you're already past that. I would definitely ask your therapist what their goals are and what success means to them. If it's getting you to never stutter, you are probably in for disappointment. If it's to get you comfortable and in control of your speech, stuttering or not, you are probably in good hands. My only advice is to be completely honest with yourself and your speech therapist. Work hard and try to stay focused on what you're doing in therapy outside of the office. Good luck - I'm sure you will enjoy it! Good luck and let us know how it goes.
